John R. Fulkerson, PhD

John Fulkerson has more than 40 years of global experience enhancing the performance of individual executives, teams, and global organizations. His experience encompasses a wide range of tools, techniques, programs and initiatives for Leadership Development, Executive Coaching, Assessment, Succession Planning, Building High Performance Cultures, Team Development, Cross-Cultural Effectiveness, Change Management, Workforce Effectiveness, Organization Design, Competency Modeling, 360’s, Performance Management, Training, and Facilitations.

John has served as Vice President for Leadership Development at PepsiCo; as Vice President for Leadership and Organization Capability at Cisco Systems; and as Vice President for Organization Development at Young & Rubicam. He has also served as an assessment psychologist for the identification and development of high ability staff officers for the Central Intelligence Agency. He has additional experience as Vice President for Organization Development during the initial turnaround at Kmart, and has experience with the Young Presidents’ Organization. His practical approach to leadership and organization issues is enhanced by having served as the Chief Personnel Officer and as a Director of member bank boards for a multi-bank holding company. For the past 15 years, John has been an independent consultant based in New York City.

John also has extensive international experience and has traveled to more than 60 countries working on leadership and workforce development issues. He is the author of book chapters, articles, and is a speaker on Leadership and Organization Effectiveness. He graduated from Texas A & M University with a BS in Psychology and from Baylor University with a PhD in Psychology.
