Steve Leven, MBA
Lead Director, Advisory Board of Directors
Steve Leven serves as the Lead Director of LWF. Prior to joining LWF, Steve had a long and successful tenure at Texas Instruments Incorporated, serving as Senior Vice President and Worldwide Human Resources Director before his retirement in 2006.
Mr. Leven joined Texas Instruments in 1973 as a Compensation Administrator in the Semiconductor Group in Dallas, TX. He then transferred to the Austin, TX location in 1980 where he held the positions of Employee Relations Manager, Vice President in the Data Systems Group, and Human Resources Manager. Mr. Leven served as the Vice President and Human Resources Manager for the Systems & Equipment Sector until late 1992 when he transferred to the Semiconductor Group. During his tenure at Texas Instruments, Mr. Leven was awarded with the Malcolm Baldridge Award by Texas Instrument’s Defense Systems business and also served as a member of the company’s Strategic Leadership Team from 1998 to 2006.
Mr. Leven has served on numerous hospital, health care, educational, and community projects, committees, and boards throughout his career. He served as Director on the Human Resources Policy Association, was member of the Business Roundtable’s Employee Relations Steering Committee, Board Member of The Women’s Museum: An Institute for the Future, a member of the Semiconductor Industry Association’s Human Resources Committee, and President of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation’s Dallas Chapter.
Mr. Leven received his Bachelors of Science in Industrial and Labor Relationships from Cornell University (1973) and his MBA from Southern Methodist Univeristy (1980). He and his wife Debra have one son and one daughter and currently reside in McKinney, TX.
